Introsoul, the Helsinki-based producer-artist Mikko Järvenpää, plays with the contrasts between electronic and acoustic instruments in his music. Mikko's debut album Teleology — drawing on the significance of life-changing events — is released on 24 April. He plays all the instruments himself and handles the production of every track. The first singles from the album have been noted by Finnish music press and national radio.
“Teleology wasn't born the moment I started recording — it began much earlier. I wanted to reflect on my life as a whole: who I originally was, and how life's events have shaped me into who I am.”
Järvenpää has previously released three metal albums with Arkadia and one pop-rock album with Weg, and has performed hundreds of gigs across Finland and the Baltic states. "As Introsoul, I play all the instruments myself. These include acoustic and electric guitar, drums, bass, grand piano, traditional Finnish instrument kantele, and various analogue and digital synthesizers. On stage I also play several of these." says the multi-instrumentalist and vocalist.
